Privacy policy
Effective July 10, 2026. Pantry is operated by Subad Imir in Kazakhstan. This policy explains what Pantry processes, why it is needed, and how you can control your data.
What Pantry collects
Pantry may store the account details you provide, recipe links and screenshots you import, recipes you save or edit, grocery items, collections, equipment preferences, onboarding preferences, and purchase state returned by Apple.
Pantry may also process technical information such as import status, request timing, IP-derived abuse-prevention signals, worker health, and error details. Pantry does not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Why Pantry uses that data
We use imported recipe content to create editable drafts, ingredient lists, grocery lists, and cooking steps. We use account and sync data so your recipes can follow you across devices.
We use subscription and entitlement data to unlock paid features, restore purchases, and prevent duplicate billing or broken access states.
Service providers
Pantry relies on third-party infrastructure to operate: Apple for distribution and in-app purchases, Convex for application data and authenticated backend workflows, and a Pantry-managed media worker for recipe extraction. AI and OCR requests may be routed through model providers configured by Pantry for extraction and substitution flows.
Those providers receive only the data required for the requested task. Uploaded screenshots are removed from Pantry storage after extraction finishes or reaches a terminal failure; the resulting recipe draft and import history remain until you delete them or your account.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
You can delete recipes, grocery items, and other saved content from inside the app. Signed-in users can delete their account from the Kitchen screen. Account deletion removes active Pantry account data; limited security logs or encrypted backups may remain temporarily until their normal retention cycle expires.
Pantry includes a nutrition-visibility preference so calorie and macro information can stay hidden unless the user explicitly wants it shown.
Children and contact
Pantry is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy as Pantry changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
Pantry helps you save recipes, build grocery lists, and actually cook what you saved.
