Pantry is operated by Subad Imir as a solo founder business based in Kazakhstan. Pantry stores the information needed to save recipes, sync your library, process imports, and help you cook.
What Pantry collects
Pantry may store the account details you provide, recipe links and screenshots you import, recipes you save or edit, grocery items, collections, equipment preferences, onboarding preferences, and purchase state returned by Apple.
Pantry may also keep technical logs related to import jobs, worker health, abuse prevention, and error recovery. Those logs are used to keep imports reliable and to debug failures.
Why Pantry uses that data
We use imported recipe content to create editable drafts, ingredient lists, grocery lists, and cooking steps. We use account and sync data so your recipes can follow you across devices.
We use subscription and entitlement data to unlock paid features, restore purchases, and prevent duplicate billing or broken access states.
Service providers
Pantry relies on third-party infrastructure to operate: Apple for distribution and in-app purchases, Convex for application data and authenticated backend workflows, and a Pantry-managed media worker for recipe extraction. AI and OCR requests may be routed through model providers configured by Pantry for extraction and substitution flows.
Those providers only receive the data required to perform the specific task requested by Pantry, such as syncing a recipe import or extracting text from media.
Your choices
You can delete recipes, grocery items, and other saved content from inside the app. Signed-in users can also request account deletion from the Kitchen screen, which removes Pantry account data stored for that user.
Pantry includes a nutrition-visibility preference so calorie and macro information can stay hidden unless the user explicitly wants it shown.
Pantry helps you save recipes, build grocery lists, and actually cook what you saved.
